Resume Evaluation Process
Crafting a top-notch resume is the result of a full understanding of your target position and immediate career goals. Our resume evaluation process is designed to help you clarify your goals and unearth the value you provide to potential employers.
Step 1: Clarify your Target Position
Your resume’s purpose is to market you as a professional to find jobs for which you are qualified—or your target position. In this step, we’ll provide resources to help you complete the following:
- Define your target position
- Select 3-5 sample jobs to which you are planning to apply (or have applied to)
- Assess your key career experiences as they related to your target position.
Step 2: Resume Evaluation
Laura Brandenburg will personally evaluate your resume and provide feedback as to how the resume reflects the value you bring to the table. The evaluation will include the following aspects:
- Clarity of the match between the value the resume depicts and the target position.
- Applicability of resume to sample jobs.
- Objective assessment of potential value the candidate brings to a hiring manager, as marketed by the resume.
- Identify resume strengths that can be leveraged to expand sections of the resume.
- Identify resume weaknesses and suggest action plans to improve those weaknesses.
Step 3: Presentation of findings

Excellent!
I, among others, have asked Laura for help on my resume. Laura has also written about re-writing your resume in her e-book. She has also made a presentation via the IIBA webinars on this topic.
She has now made a channel available to allow her to actually help us while also letting us pay for the single most important thing a consultant offers after their skills. Their time.
