Good for you Ferdy! The underlying capacities to be a BA and the desire to tackle the challenges are really the most critical part of a successful career transition! Be sure to check the next 5 too, just to be sure and boost your confidence a bit more!

Oh my God, I was wondering exactly the same question that you state "The question is not whether or not you can become a business analyst. The question is whether you have what it takes to become a business analyst and if this is a career you are passionate about. And no one else can answer that question for you."

Once I read this, I noticed that I fulfill all the five! Thank you to Laura. I am confidence now. :)

Thank you Laura for this post.
I am looking to become a BA and trying to gather as much as I can information related to the BA career. Your 5 signs gave me more confidence that I am heading toward the right direction.

Point 5 raised a wry smile as I once interviewed a BA for a senior post and asked her to present something using a flipchart or wipeboard which she failed to do citing the reason "I dont like flip-charts" which was the point at which I decided not to employee her!
