I think BAs are uniquely positioned to be consultants, both to an organization and within their own. So often our roles grow organically and we don't even realize that we are doing something demonstrably different than we were before. Yes, sadly, some organizations do not value all of these higher level responsibilities -- that's why it's so important to think of your job as part of your career and not as your career. This perspective gives you the freedom to look elsewhere for your achievements that are important to you will be valued. As always, thanks for your input Michelle! I could show in detail the responsibility that I was taking on, the large challenging projects that I delivered on. Sometimes it is time to look after yourself and look for a business that values your capabilities and achievements. Michelle Laura, great read and information.
